Common Misconceptions About Diploma Courses

Diploma Courses are the new rage. There are various reasons why students find them attractive, but these Diploma Courses In Mumbai cannot be compared with the one given at the Degree College. We all know that Diploma certificate is also a degree and can get you job in government sector just like any other degree. But still there are different types of diploma courses and students often get confused about whether to go for a full-time diploma course or opt for a distance Diploma course. The only major difference between the two is the duration of study, as those who opt for distance courses can study at their own pace and timings.

Here are common misconceptions about diploma courses.

Diploma is not a degree: A lot of people think that diploma certificate is inferior to the Degree, but there's nothing like this. This misconception comes from the fact that many students go for distance learning diploma courses, which means they get their degrees without meeting any professor or attending any class. The advantages of opting for a distance learning diploma course is that you can do it at your own pace and time which is not possible with regular college diploma courses. Moreover, if you're having a tough time managing regular classes and home work on top of participating in extracurricular activities like dance, music etc then you should definitely opt for a distance diploma course.

2. You can learn Diploma Courses without attending any class or by just doing self-study: No, this is completely wrong. There are certain courses which are 100% online and do not require you to attend any lecture but these are the full-time diploma courses which have exams conducted at various centres across India on particular dates. These types of online diploma courses usually take minimum one and half years to complete at a stretch and require full time dedication.

3. Only unemployed people opt for Diploma Courses: This is not true in most cases, as most of the students these days opt for regular diploma courses in order to get placement in government sector where jobs are plenty. Moreover, many students choose to take up diploma courses as they can manage their studies according to their own time and pace which is not possible with regular college course.

4. You can complete your Diploma Courses In Mumbai in just one year: Yes, this is possible but only if you opt for the full-time regular distance diploma course. This is only possible if you're not having any other job and can dedicate six hours a day to your diploma course.

5. You don't need to appear for exams: Those who opt for distance and open school diploma courses do not need to appear for any written test or online exam, as they are given assignment at home and results are declared on their behalf. If you're opting for distance diploma course then it's important that you take guidance from your institute and set a proper study plan in order to complete your studies in time and clear exams to get the certification.

6. Distance learning Diploma courses are not recognized: Distance learning diploma courses or open school diploma courses are equally recognized as regular diploma courses and I personally know many people who have completed distance education diploma course.

7. People with Diploma are less educated: This misconception comes from the fact that people usually think that diploma courses are for those who failed in 12th class. But the fact is, if you're not satisfied with your 12th pass results then you can try diploma courses to improve your chances of getting government jobs.
